Nansi T. Lent is an interdisciplinary artists based in Rhinebeck, NY, originally from New York, with roots in Coconut Grove, Florida. She earned a BA in Studio Art from Boston College and a Master’s in Visual Arts Administration from New York University.
In the late 1970s, Lent exhibited her work in New York City, gaining recognition between 1977 and 1980. After this initial success, she pivoted toward producing large-scale multimedia events, which led her to travel extensively across the globe.
Since settling in upstate New York in 2009 and returning to fine art full-time, Lent has exhibited widely across the Hudson Valley and beyond. Her work has been shown at venues such as the Katonah Museum of Art, the Woodstock Artists Association and Museum, the Coral Springs Museum of Art in Florida, GoggleWorks in Reading, PA, and the New York Public Library. Additionally, she has exhibited at the Starr Library in Rhinebeck, the Palmer Gallery at Vassar College, and various co-ops and private galleries. Lent has earned earned her multiple awards, and her work is held in several private collections.
An active leader in the arts community, Lent has served on the board of the National Association of Women Artists and, in 2018, founded Womenswork.art, a gallery in Poughkeepsie, NY. She continues to engage with the regional arts scene as an active member of the Woodstock Artists Association and The Beacon Artists Union.
